Park Point in Duluth, Minnesota, is a tranquil escape for anyone looking to unwind by the water or enjoy the outdoors. Nestled along the shores of Lake Superior, it offers a unique blend of sandy beaches, open skies, and the calming sound of waves. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Park Point has something to offer.

The expansive beach provides the perfect spot for a relaxing stroll, with soft sand underfoot and the vast lake stretching endlessly before you. It’s an ideal destination for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who appreciates the beauty of the outdoors. The area also has grassy spaces that make it great for picnics or group gatherings.

Sunsets here are particularly captivating, creating a serene atmosphere that feels worlds away from the city. As the light fades, it’s easy to lose yourself in the peaceful rhythm of the lake, making Park Point the perfect place to recharge and reflect.

This spot isn’t just about quiet moments—it’s versatile. Whether you're flying kites, skipping stones, or simply soaking in the natural beauty, there’s plenty to do. Park Point is more than just a beach; it’s a community treasure and a reminder of how restorative time in...

Kind of surprised by the amount of good reviews. This park is in need of some serious updates. There's no where to fill up a water bottle, bathrooms only dispense hot water and have leaky toilets. The inside 'Public Beach House' looks awesome from the outside, but inside is dark with only a few chairs and an abandoned kitchen. There's a large open field only really populated by seagulls and an abandoned baseball field. It looks like it used to be a wetland? Would be a wonderful spot for boardwalks and interpretive signs exploring the history of the points nature landscape. The trails around the area are also cracked and overgrown, not ADA accessible in the least. The parking lot is littered with deep potholes and broken gravel, and access by bike and walking is dangerous. Do better Duluth!...

It's a nice walk, rain or shine. We walked in the rain recently. Still liked it.

If you're new to this trail like we were, go to the Sky Harbor building for the trailhead, left corner of the building as you face it, this road eventually takes you to the easier, hard pack trail, and eventually through the forest (maybe you'll see a plane take off or land in the bay).

We started on trails next to the beach. Nice, but an extra workout you'll have walking in the sand. But it was nice to hear the waves coming in.

Walking through this forest is peaceful, you may encounter some shallow wet spots. Keep an eye out for transformer boxes, signs of cabins being here in the past, and other items related to housing.

One could bring a snack and a drink, it was...

We had an amazing time relaxing at Park Point Beach. The parking lot was free and had many open spaces. It was a short walk from the lot to the lake. The sand was soft and comfortable to walk on barefoot. We loved sitting in the sand and watching my youngest daughter play in the waves. She made a sandcastle and we soaked up the sun. We could see Duluth, MN in the distance on the left, and Wisconsin on the right. We heard helicopters and saw them giving tours. My daughter kept finding interesting rocks for us to enjoy and skip back into the water. There were beautiful grasses and little trails that might make amazing photo opportunities for sunset photo shoots. I’m so happy we stopped here. All of us would love to come again.
