🏛 The Annex & actual Museum home is located separately between the park, therefore, if the weather is bad, it could pose some problems. 👥😁 They are friendly, welcoming and answered any questions we had. It is a Guided tour unless there's some special Event so make sure you check the Hours or contact to schedule a tour. 👧👦 Suprisingly kid-Friendly as they have small kids activities every third Saturday from 1-3pm with allergy friendly snacks (while supplies last). 🚗 Parking is located along the street in front of the park right between the Annex and Museum so it's convenient. Limited parking, however, we don't foresee it getting full unless there's an Event. 🚶The place is not very large or roomy so there's no need to constantly take a break, however, there is seating at the Annex and at the park. 🚻 Located outside of the Museum, although we did not use it. 🇺🇸 Military Friendly. 🚫💰 No cost and their public Events are Free.

Myself and a group of 10 members of my Paranormal group did a ghost tour just last night Oct 9 2021. It was great. I ended up staying for the lock in tour from 11pm to 1am and that was just amazing. The group of 3 of us absolutely experienced a very active home. We heard a very loud and close female that was wailing and sounded so sad, we heard footsteps from upstairs, heard a poss child, saw shadow figures and we all smelled the strong scent of perfume which would come and go and I experienced a cold spot. I captured some amazing EVP'S and pictures. My favorite being that of a person standing in an upstairs bedroom window where we had just seen a light flash twice from inside. This place is fantastic and I can't wait to return.

Pretty little area and house with a fun history. BUT I should have checked schedule. Wasn't open, my error. Took outside fotos. Could have a nice little picnic in the on grounds park and kids climbing playground

A hidden gem in Northern Virginia, the Weems-Botts museum has something for everyone, young and old alike. The museum is lovingly preserved with a lot of care and research going into the exhibits and artifacts. Docent Joann is an amazing resource who is willing to share her enthusiasm for the rich history of the area and how it fits into the larger story of early America. If you're interested in learning more about local history, the history of Virginia, the Civil war, George Washington and life in the 1600s through early 20th century, this small but mighty site is not...
