Sooo we've been trying to go to this place for a while. It's hard to catch bc they're only open on the weekends. But I was disappointed to say the least. 1st the meats: We ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was actually not that bad. It's a dry pulled pork sandwich but they'll give you BBQ sauce on the side. Me personally when I think of a pulled pork sandwich from a BBQ joint I'm thinking Shredded prices of meat in sauce. We also got the chicken which was a tad bit too black lol but it's cool it was still okay to me. Then we got the ribs which were a B-.Then we had the ribs, also great but again I'm thinking of meat slathered in sauce but that's just me. 🤷🏾♀️ Meat overall= B-
Now the sides?? Mind you this is a black owned business so I expect the food to be on point. Now yall know yall can do better on that Mac n cheese. It seems like it's baked, but it needs more cheese, and maybe add some heavy cream That Mac n cheese needs to be nice n cheesy underneath with a nice melted coat on the top. When we had it, it was very dry. The beans need to have a bit more viscosity to them, not no watery beans. Then we had the potato salad which was the best side, don't change a thing. Overall Sides C.
Tbh I would probably prefer famous daves. But I'm rooting for yall, I'll try again n a couple months, give it sometime to see if anything changes . Oh! They do have this bomb mango lemonade. But yea yall please heed the advice and add more sauces to the menu as well, get creative and make some house sauces or something. Don't just be another BBQ joint. Stand out. Good luck guys. 👍🏾 Had to come back n edit, this cuz yall have more low ratings than you need and it can change hit me up if yall hiring I will get some grandma's in there to cook n show how it should be done, yall deserve a chance...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic barbecue restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I saw the smoke from the grills, I knew I was in for a treat. Let's start with the star of the show—the brisket. Oh my, it was absolutely divine! The tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture was a testament to the skill and expertise of the cook. Each bite was bursting with smoky, savory flavors that left me wanting more. The meat was perfectly seasoned and had a beautiful, mouthwatering caramelized crust. It was evident that the cook takes great pride in their barbecue, and the brisket was certainly the highlight of my dining experience.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the customer service was also top-notch. The young lady in the truck was welcoming and attentive throughout my visit. From the moment I walked to the truck I was greeted with warm smile. The young lady was knowledgeable about the menu and readily answered all of my questions. One thing that stood out to me was the presence of a talented female cook on the grill. It was refreshing and inspiring to see a woman thriving in the traditionally male-dominated world of barbecue. Her culinary skills were evident in food. It was a delightful reminder that talent knows no gender boundaries. Overall, my experience at this barbecue restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The mouthwatering brisket, outstanding customer service, and the talented female cook all contributed to an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of authentic, delicious barbecue with a touch of warmth and inclusivity. I am already looking forward to...
Read moreI ordered from Doordash and the food came in a black bag with bounty paper towels. All the food was packaged in deli containers.
Once I opened the bag I noticed that an order of mac and cheese was missing. Before I even opened the containers, I could see how bland the food looked. The cheese in the mac and cheese was not melted properly and looked to be curdled. The texture was grainy.
The brisket was so dry and over cooked. I could hold it up parallel to the ground without it moving.
The baked beans came out of a can with no seasoning added. no peppers or anything, just bland. I have a can of bush's baked beans in my pantry that taste better than those.
The potato salad lacked everything and was obviously store bought.
The collard greens tastes just like it came out of a glory can.
The nilla wafers in the banana pudding were so soggy that the color of the wafers looked pale as if it was sitting in a glass of milk all day long.
How can you sell this and call yourself a business. Shut it down! this was audacity as its finest! -10/10 WOULD...
