El Tucan — Restaurant in Dumfries

Let me start with, they have great pupusas. It’s really the only reason I eat here. Second, the restaurant is labeled as a “family restaurant” but it feels far from that. The waitresses flirt with customers and drink with them. One of the waitresses kept saying how tipsy she was. Very inappropriate way to be at work and in front of customers. The food deserves a higher rate but the reason I’m giving it a 3 star is the price of the margaritas. According to the bartender the only choice of margarita is 12$ for 10 oz margarita glass. The price does not change if you choose a lower grade tequila. This is Dumfries not downtown DC. We would have ordered two drinks apiece , until we asked the price. This place has the best Pupusas ever, their red sauce is perfect heat and they have awesome cortidos. I've gone to DC area for pupusas but this is my fave to go to.
