ModWash — Attraction in Dunedin

I love how after this place got quite a few negative reviews now all of a sudden they have a bunch of five star reviews talking about how wonderful they are. The wash itself is mediocre. They had software issues for about a month after doing an update which I understand the staff has no control over but it’s definitely frustrating to have an issue every time you go when you’re paying for a membership. Then somehow my membership got canceled because they said that my payment declined when I went in and spoke with a manager it showed a card number on file that did not belong to me. I’ve had the same debit card number for several years and what they were showing was completely different and I know that’s not the card that I signed up with. The day I went in to get a wash and they showed my membership is canceled. They refused to let me get a wash, even though I’m there several times a week and have never had an issue with a payment since I signed up. I understand that you can’t just trust people but when someone has been a loyal customer and there seems to be some mixup you should probably just do the right thing and give them a one time courtesy wash until the issue can be resolved. It’s not my fault that your system somehow associated the wrong card number for my account…if anything people should be concerned because what happened to my debit card information and is it now assigned to someone else’s account? Is what it is. I will never be back. I will never recommend this place. I will advise other people I know not to go there because of the reasons I mentioned. I cannot express how grateful I am for the incredible service I received at ModWash. I came in with my car looking worse for wear, and honestly, my day wasn’t going any better. But then, something amazing happened. One of the attendants noticed my frustration and, with the kindness and attentiveness you’d expect from a lifelong friend, came over to help me clean the windows. This might seem small, but at that moment, it felt like a lifeline.

His meticulous care turned my car into a spotless sanctuary, but more than that, it turned my entire day around. I was on my way home, where my spouse was already irritated after a long week. Gotta say something good about this place today. Went to get my car washed, pulled in, payment ready in hand, and had the usual walk up thinking they were going to try to sell me a subscription or something only to have the attendant open the gate and wave me in. Puzzled, i went along thinking, "what kind of wash are they giving me that i didn't choose, oh well, maybe they're gonna hit me up at the end for payment" only to finish washing my car, detailing it and then i pulled over to attendant asked where do i pay, and he said," we are having a glitch in our system, it is on us!" There had to be 6 cars before me and at least 4 afterwards so i said, " thank you, i will do a google review for y'all to help pay for the great thing y'all have done today!" Sometimes it is about doing good things and just knowing they will come back to you in the end. Hard thing to see in a world such as this but it does happen!
