So went there for a few drinks and pumpkin loaf a couple weeks ago. Sat in line for at least 20 minutes before the woman in front of me pushed the intercom button several times. She sat there a while longer then pulled ahead. So I pulled up to the intercom and waited to be greeted by an employee. I didn't get a response so I pushed the help button as well. Nothing... I'm like ok well the speaker box must be broken I'll give my order at the window. Pulled to the window and saw a sign that read that they were renovating and closed until November 9th. There were construction workers and employees walking around and saw me. I waved to then to let them know that there has been and still was a line in the drive thru. I wanted to tell them that I had been waiting for almost 45 minutes at that point (no way to pull around it's one lane and no way out) I wanted to tell them to put a sign at the beginning of the drive thru and the speaker box so people wouldn't sit there and waste their time waiting... The employees saw me, saw me wave and starred at me and then continued talking amongst themselves. Completely and blatantly ignoring me. So I pulled out of the drive thru as the person behind me stopped at the window thinking that they could place an order too, waiting for service they'd never receive. I pulled around to the front and saw and employee walking out. I asked him why they didn't have a sign at the drive thru. He rudely said, "we do have a sign!" And pointed at the front door to the cafe...... You wouldn't see that from the drive thru entrance. Plus, it was really small and you could not read what it said. I told him that they need to post signs on and before the speaker box. He threw his hands in the air sarcastically and said "I'll let them know!" That was horrible. Terrible management, terrible customer service. Waste of time and gas. Etc I expect more from Starbucks. This experience may just be my...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at the Starbucks on Main Street in Dunedin, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with others. My visit to this particular Starbucks was nothing short of a frustrating ordeal, resulting in me giving it a one-star review.
Firstly, I decided to utilize the drive-through to save time. To my dismay, I found myself waiting for an astonishing 20 minutes just to order a simple latte. This excessive wait time was both inconvenient and unacceptable for a supposedly efficient service.
Hoping for a better experience, I decided to give the Starbucks another chance and went inside the next day to place my order. Unfortunately, I was met with even more disappointment. I patiently waited for 15 minutes before approaching the counter, only to discover that the two employees were busy making drinks for their fellow colleagues before attending to my order. It was evident that they prioritized their internal needs over those of paying customers.
When I finally inquired about my order, I was informed that they had misplaced my ticket. It was disheartening to hear one of the employees complaining to the manager about the issue of missing tickets. This level of disorganization and lack of attention to detail is simply unacceptable for a business that prides itself on providing quality service.
Overall, my experience at the Starbucks on Main Street Dunedin was marred by long wait times, disorganized staff, and a lack of customer focus. I believe it is crucial for them to address these issues and improve their operations to provide a better experience for their customers. As it stands, I cannot recommend this Starbucks location based on my...
Read moreFreaking horrible, I've been here several times and each time there has been an issue - not with the food/beverage/service, just the situation. This time it was BEES. Yes, bees. I was sent to pick up a pre-order - not pay, just pick up. I walked to the front door and a sign said "lobby closed, partially due to BEES mobile orders pick up in drive through". The door had 2 honeybees on the glass INSIDE. There were 2 on the outside, and more just flying around - not killer bees, just clumsy honeybees. I thought, ok strange and then quickly turned to horror as I saw the line wrapped around the building. I then realized I was trapped and couldn't leave for another place as my order had been paid for in full by someone else. I had to leave the parking lot go east on State Road 580 to enter the eastern entrance and get in line. And then it began - I counted 29 cars that came in, parked, people got out, read the sign, left and I estimated that each car on average has 1.5 people and each person was going to spent an average of $4 on coffee and $3 on something else so I computed that the STARBUCKS BEES cost them at least $300 while I aline was in the drive through. Did the manager/franchisee ever study Chik-fil-A? They will not let you leave because they want the money in your pocket to be put in their hand as quickly as possible before you can change your mind - as any good business model would do! It was just strange and since I lost 30 minutes of my life I figured what's 15 more to write this review? The coffee is amazing if someone else goes to get it, I admit - but why people choose to sit in that line...
