Dupont Historical Museum — Attraction in DuPont

Fun place to spend a Wednesday! It was sunny when we went. The grounds are beautiful! The back room was like being in my Grandma's home. They even had the same wood stove she had, including the wall paper! (She loved her chickens 🐔 ) The proprietor was very knowledgeable about the history of the Nisqually Tribe and the surrounding areas as well as Dupont.(She gave us a guided tour) Husband was a big kid around the train! This is a great little museum about the history of the town of Dupont. And yes, Dupont really is named after the Dupont Co. It takes less than an hour to walk it and read all the interesting stuff about this town. And it's free, YEA!! Awesome museum. From the front / outside it looks small. But the building goes very, very deep, room after room. Everything is well tended, with excellent signage to describe what you are viewing.
