There are many higher reviews and I guess there have been some updates such as for the tennis court. But I have been to quite possibly 100 parks (I wish I was joking) this is probably my least favorite as far as playgrounds go. I do love the giant field when it’s mowed but unfortunately it was not. The field needed mowing, the playground is in despair and needs to be updated. Confused how all these other parks are getting all the updates and this one in a main town is dilapidated unless there are plans for it to be upgraded. If so it can’t come soon enough. I gave it a 2 because it has a very big field. And I like the bench area being close to the play structure. But the bench area also needs some updating. The play structure omg it is a rusty dusty bucket of an ole gal just hangin in there.

This review is for the sprayground only. It's small and muddy everywhere especially in the grassy areas around the sprayground. Not a lot of space for many children. You can easily slam into another child. Not a lot of equipment for water play. The padding is not concrete and its uneven and someone's child can trip and fall. Although my kids had fun I will not revisit.

Forest Hills Park is one of Durham's crown jewels. The park was donated to the city back in the 1930s. It has a Sprayground water park feature. Lots of covered picnic area. The playground structure is pretty unique. There's lots of accessible parking. The restrooms are always clean. The only drawback to the park is that sometimes there are drainage issues after rains.

It's a beautiful, expansive, natural park with many trees, a lot of green grass, and a small creek. There are no determined paths to follow. You often find soccer or frisbee football being played, some times in several areas. There is a small parking lot but lots of street parking along the side roads. It is sorely missing a fenced area to be used as a dog park. There are tennis courts, a playground, a public pool, and a...
