A Consistently Excellent Shopping Experience!
Every time I visit Compare Foods, I always have a positive experience. It's become my go-to supermarket for several reasons. First and foremost, I'm thrilled with their selection of products from Latin America. I found all the products I was looking for, which is a huge plus!
Beyond the great international selection, the produce is consistently fresh and high-quality. I never have to worry about picking through wilted or bruised items. Just as important, the customer service is excellent. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist.
Another aspect I truly appreciate is how clean and well-organized the entire store is. Everything is clearly labeled and easy to find, which saves me so much time instead of wandering in the aisles looking for things. This makes my shopping trips efficient and stress-free.
I highly recommend Compare Foods to anyone looking for a diverse selection of groceries, fresh produce, great customer service, and a clean, organized shopping...
Read moreI can't get my whole grocery list at this inconspicuous supermarket but I it is irreplaceable for stocking up on key items. Great value for large size spices, including non-ground spices (e.g., coriander and cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon sticks, etc.), as well as Latin American staples like annatto. Great value for pretty much any legume. I also get my masarepa here and the dish soap that comes in a cake and cleans way better liquid dish soap (axion). You can get a lot of Colombian, Peruvian, and other Latin American products (yuca flour, giant can of milo, avena, choclo, chilis, sofrito, salsa rosada and other condiments, panela, pretty much any Goya product). The people that work here are also very nice and there usually isn't a long line. Check it out! You are going to find something that is a pleasant surprise. And never buy a $6 3oz container of a basic spice at Harris...
Read morethey have a good layout and their produce certainly has produce you wouldn't find in other store. they offer a lot of latin flavored foods too but also african.
the only drawback which is somewhat consistent is meat and poultry. i once bought chicken legs, or what i thought was chicken. thought it to be incredibly large but sucked it up to hormones they inject in animals. that was no chicken i bought. wife told me it was turkey.
here and there i'll buy meat. i'd freeze it for another week or so only to find a portion of it changing color once thawed. in my opinion, happens too often.
lastly, music is turned up too high. this is my complaint for a lot of places you...
