I’ve been a loyal supporter and shopper of this thrift store for years, largely because I believe in the mission to support women affected by domestic violence. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me feeling extremely disappointed and uncomfortable.
During my time in the store, I noticed that I was repeatedly approached and asked if I wanted my items held — first by one staff member, then again by another when I was near the register. I politely declined both times. However, I couldn’t help but observe that other customers around me were not approached in the same way.
This repeated singling out made me feel as though I was being profiled, which was disheartening and upsetting, especially in a space I’ve supported for so long. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that the staff and management take time to reflect on how customer interactions are handled, and consider the potential impact of such behavior — intentional or not — on shoppers'...

This hidden gem shocked me once I went inside. Do yourself a favor and park in the back. The front spots are hard to get out of.
Once inside you’ll find a good selection of book, small selection of knickknacks and furniture and a good collection of women’s clothes.
The clothes stunned me. Most were brand names and all were extremely stylish. I’m an XL and found many dresses and shirts, and even a pair of jeans!! If you are smaller, let this be your haven. You will find super trendy outfits here and all for thrifting prices. Plus you’re supporting a good cause!

I've been looking up the prices of the items up for sale at Pennies, online or happening to find them at other stores and Pennies is pricing items higher than etsy, ebay, poshmark and local consignment shops and boutiques. Why is that? It hasnt always been this way there but in the past few years its gotten bad.
