This is the closest park to my house so I've been coming here since I was little. In high school, every year towards the end of the season our cross country team did a "rambo run" just for fun where we all wore costumes and ran on the trails; so I knew them pretty well. After high school I didn't go to this park for several years until the other day. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had significantly improved the entire park. They now have a cool playground with a zip line and stuff for kids to play on such as boulders and large pieces of driftwood, which are also part of an area that has been made into a native species area of grasses and wildflowers. Read moreThis is a very unique park! Lots of room to move, under big, shady trees. There is no playground, but there are lots of natural structures, such as tree trunks and stumps to climb. The kids enjoyed exploring and gathering items from the surrounding area like pinecones, acorns, moss and even some snail shells. There are some large faux rocks with a rope structure for climbing and there is a sandbox. The highlight of the park, however, is a large zip line! Suitable for kids & dogs (please always clean after your dogs!) has nice walking paths and plenty of wildlife, like deer, rabbits, turtles, birds, etc... that are not scared and you can take photos of them. We also love the Artistic details around the park and the long grass. In the morning is a little loud, due to construction work currently (July 2024) happening nearby but after 5:00pm is nice.
