East Brunswick Dog Park — Attraction in East Brunswick Township

Giant and plentiful signs telling us to keep our dogs on leash outside of the dog park ... and what's the first thing I see? Some jerk letting his dog roam free. I asked if he had a leash and he showed his shock collar controller. Nope. Sorry. Not the same.

He put his dog back in the car then entered the park. Stared me down with a "What?" look.

When I told him it's for everyone's safety and there's no second set of rules for him, he decided he's "done talking" about it. He walked over to a friend of his, said something, then left and drove off.

I followed my little dog around the interior fence perimeter and was disappointed, but not shocked, at the number of piles of poop that were left. I picked up about a dozen along with trash strewn about.

Heavenly Farms is THE BEST park in the area! I always feel safe here, even running at night. The soccer and softball facilities are top-notch. Only thing is I wish they wouldn't use any chemicals or anything along the dog walk/running path. I did notice a few years ago fertilizer or maybe even insecticide pellets scattered about all over. That's just awful in my opinion-- can't we do with a few dandelions, clovers, and grubs for the sake of our health, our kids' health, and our beloved doggies... not to mention the woodland critters who live there? Other than that-- beautiful place and gorgeous sunsets. Can get busy on weekends during soccer season though, just so you know! YES, I've worked out here late at night after work and felt very safe (although I stayed on the road that goes through the middle...

Their was a lady (Indian woman) with a German Shepard at the park at 5 pm today 12/18 - my fiance and I were there with our 2 standard goldendoodles and our puppies were attacked by this very violent German shepherd- we were very lucky that our dogs didn't have any marks on their body - the lady couldn't grab her dog and the dog kept coming at us tryihg to attack our dogs and thank God we got our dogs into the gate before anything else bad happened it was an absolute horrible experience for us and I wanted to write this review to warn other pet owners of this person and dog. Please if you see an Indian woman with a German shepherd i highly advise you to report this person and her dog we are very lucky that our dogs are not in bad shape or in the emergency room.
