We drove the entire family on Tuesday night, the 26th of December only to be refused at the gate and told to come back in half an hour. Half an hour later, we still couldn’t get in and cars at the end of the line, we noticed, were trying to turn around to get out. They obviously WAY oversold tickets for this night and after driving an hour and waiting (in two cars) we were SO disappointed. I just wanted to give my two 10 & 11 month old Granddaughter’s a special first Christmas experience and thought this would be perfect. What a waste of energy, resources and moments we will never get back. Because the phone number has a recorded “see you next year message “, we sent an email, but would at the very least, expect a full refund. I will come back to this review if we receive an apology and refund… We received an apology for our “delay” and are scheduled to receive a refund. They explained they reserve a number of tickets for gate sales for those computer illiterate or for those who lack access. I still am not convinced the level of overcrowding that night was not due to overselling. I imagine many families buy tickets and don’t show and they feel comfortable overbooking and it probably works until it doesn’t. In the email to me from Winter Wonderlands, they expressed regret at having turned us away but did not acknowledge the fact that we were turned away twice….insult upon injury…waited 30 minutes only to be told no again…I felt slighted that they couldn’t bring themselves to admit this even though I replied to their email specifically about this. We did get a refund, sort of got an apology. we lost an entire evening driving and waiting only to be disappointed. Would I go again, no…would I recommend them, no. I feel like their response just glossed...
Read moreSo late making this review 😭😩 but I must say, me and my boyfriend did this drive-thru light show and it was nothing but amazing! From start to finish. The light-tunnels were simply beautiful and there were so many holiday lights that range from tv shows to different characters to different religious holiday celebrations to thanking the front-line workers. I would love to come back next season and bring them nieces & nephews 💙🤞🏽😍
The pricing wasn’t bad at all. I think online it’s $25 and in-person it’s $30 per car so not bad. They tell you which radio station to tune into and it plays good ole holiday music while you drive along 🙏🏽🕺🏽🎅🏽🎄 The two things I did not like is how horrible the roads are 1. when you’re driving in, yes there’s a clear speed limit, through the entrance before you get to the show, but some of those bumps are crazy deep and can damage your car and i’m not sure the establishment would pay for those damages……i know it’s kind of an off road gig but i think that should be looked into being fixed. 2. We came on a Friday night and it wasn’t crowded at all, and it wasn’t many cars behind us and being that the light-show wasn’t long, and we were trying to take in the many wonderful moments, we were being rushed by the workers to “hurry through” the exhibit. 😒😑🫤 I get that, they don’t want people to take to much time and want them to keep moving but rushing people through a light-show after we drove almost an hour to go through for less than 20 mins is ABSURD 🙄🫥😴 I definitely was not happy about that. I’ve been to other drive-thru light shows and they encourage you to take your time and enjoy the exhibit as you move along. So maybe next year/this year 23-24 they will work on that.
But other than that I definitely would...
Read moreI normally do not write reviews, but being that I have seen numerous negative reviews left from this past week, I wanted to shed light on my experience as many of these reviews had my boyfriend and I anxious to go. This was my first time visiting Winter Wonderlights. First I will address how numerous reviews complained about wait times. The truth is, if you and your family are coming on a night which is almost guaranteed to be busy (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) it's not the fault of the business owners. Events like this happen only once a year, so wait times are nearly inevitable. To avoid this, drive down on a weekday. Besides this, I was quite pleased with my experience. There were unique lights that everyone could enjoy (support for nurses, officers, and lights for other religions too!) and I really enjoyed how the music played in sync with the lights. All of the staff were very welcoming and one woman apart of staff even handed my dog a treat! I also appreciated the food truck before the light show experience-- prices were very reasonable and they made for a great treat while enjoying the show. The only drawback of this experience was that it was short lived. Overall, I was content with my experience and I would recommend this light show for those who live locally. I wouldn't suggest this experience for people driving out of state, or making a long drive due to the actual drive-through time...
