Southern End Outdoor’s employees are very rude and extremely unhelpful. When you arrive there is a sign on door noting mandatory masks to enter, yet not one of their staff members were wearing a mask. They have plastic shields up at their check out counter but they aren’t very effective when the employees leave that area to stock shelves. They prefer to act like they’re too busy to even notice you, while they are really just avoiding helping any customers that may need assistance. They do not greet you as you walk in. In fact, I almost wondered if I mysteriously became invisible as I entered the building. They chose to lose over $1,000 worth of business, not being allowed to contact the owner of the store to price an item that’s cost was unmarked. (One that they always sell at retail price and can be easily found by google search of the manufacturer.) We even offered to over pay the retail price by $100 and have them credit our card of the difference. Buyers beware! I would avoid this store at all costs. Clearly Eric Musser, the owner, makes enough money with his other family businesses that he can hire ignorant, immature cashiers who treat his customers like sh1t. Based on what the staff told us and how we were mistreated, it’s pretty apparent he would rather spend his time hunting, killing innocent animals instead of taking the time to properly train his staff on how to provide exceptional service to their customers. We will never be back. This place deserves 5...
Read moreI don't get what people are talking about with the unfriendly people working there and bad service. I got there quite a bit and chat up with all the guys. They at this point usually know the stuff I am looking for and always give me a heads up. They just alerted me to the much cheaper crackseries Rx 6-channel, when I normally would buy a 3x the price Spektrum. Pricing - you can always do better online, but sometime in a build I am missing something and wanna get my stuff together so I will pay the extra to take it home with me now.
This store stocks stuff you cannot find in any other hobby store, I like the Reading HobbyTown and Pittstop Hobbies but they just don't carry enough products in stock. Now at Extreme they have brought in the Twisted Hobby line of products which are awesome. I highly recommend - when you are there hit up Compassionate Joe's coffee - awesome stuff
For those that say they are unfriendly, you may want to check the mirror - you may want to consider the fact you are lacking the...
Read moreMy experience, as I was only looking for Traxxas related products was EXCELLENT!! First, I drove from the East side of Lanc City & barely made it by closing time (7pm) on a Thurs. after work. I was surprised that Hunter, the associate working that eve stayed late just to assist & accommodate all my needs! He knew a little bit about everything in the store. I'm so very glad Eric the manager stocks and if they dont have it, will order anything Traxxas R/C related. Yes, if you happen to be needing other brands then maybe not your place however they do have a little bit of everything OUTDOOR ADVENTURE RELATED!! They also have a HUGE selection of Benchmade and Kershaw Knives which Hunter knew EVERYTHING about!Highly recommend and will ALWAYS COME HERE 1ST for my R/C needs. THANX...
