I used to work there when they had lifeguards, supervisors and even parking lot attendants. Visitors always say how much they loved it because it's small and secluded to an extent, it has a playground and 3 volleyball nets, as well as a beach house that used to offer so much more but now only offers uncleaned bathrooms and outdoor showers just to wash off the sand. They also have a splashpad across the street (has bathrooms but aren't opened) from the beach that is where you'll find a lot of the little kids usually ages 8-9 & under. Read moreI've been a lifelong resident of East Haven and the East Haven Town Beach is by far one of my favorite places to be! The beach is beautiful, clean, and spacious enough that even on a crowded day you feel like you have some privacy and room to breathe. The town does an incredible job with the upkeep of the beach as well as the splash pad across the street. The Sandpiper Restaurant across the street has great food as well!
