Informative. The guide, mrs. Calloway, is lovely and helpful, but needed to divide her attention between multiple groups arriving at different times. Therefore, more information via a self-guided tour would be helpful. Also, exhibits are kind of all over the place and not restricted to information about the Underground Railroad. For such a small museum, it seems to me that they should restrict the focus to JUST the Underground Railroad years and not Africa, the long history of slavery, or things that happened fifty years after slavery ended. Great small museum focusing on the significant history of the Underground Railroad in the state of New Jersey. The museum is taking an all encompassing approach, focusing on the broader history of slavery and of the Afro-American community beyond the narrow history of the Underground Railroad. Family stumbled across this place while going for a drive. Went to the museum about an hour before closing. Wish we would have gotten there earlier! The woman that walked us through was so informative! I could have listened to her talk all day. We learned so much that we never learned growing up. My eyes were open to so much.
