Seems to be a lack of organization and professionalism. I tried contacting them a couple weeks ago to see if they could do some minor alterations on a dress I was planning on wearing for my wedding - for context, it isn’t a wedding gown, it’s just a cheap white sundress. I needed around the bust taken in a bit, some padding sewn in, and a longer slip sewn underneath. I had called on a day they were closed and the voicemail said to either leave a text or a voice message and the mailbox was full so I decided to try another time. A week went by because life got crazy and I tried calling again and got the same voicemail greeting so I sent a text instead. I didn’t expect a text back that day but another week went by and I hadn’t heard anything so I tried calling again (again on the closed day but left another text just in case I forgot to reach out the following day). I actually got a response shortly after saying that the internet and phone must’ve had problems (totally understandable given the storms last week), but said that if it was something small, they may be able to help out up until the weekend because they were going on vacation for four weeks. I responded that I had a couple days off and was available a couple early mornings before then, sent pictures while wearing the dress and explaining what I was hoping to have done, and I made it very clear that I understood if they weren’t able to get me in but that I would like to know as soon as possible (so that I could reach out to someone else if need be). I did not get a response afterwards, but gave it a couple more days. I tried reaching out Wednesday afternoon to follow up, couldn’t get through on the phone yet again, and sent another text instead but never got a response.
I understand being busy, I understand things tend to get hectic the closer you get to having to temporarily close your business for some personal time, but at the very least a yes/no would be appreciated. Or perhaps clearing out the voicemail so that clients can get ahold of you. In the time since I received my dress I could have contacted somebody else to set something up, but I was hoping for this business because they’re so close to home.
Maybe if I need something fixed up in the future, I will try them again and change my rating, but given their high rating, I was really disappointed with...
Read moreI had a very frustrating experience with this tailoring business. I dropped off a pair of pants in May, and was told it would take about two weeks for the tailoring. After the two weeks passed, I received a text letting me know the owner hadn't gotten to my pants yet and that it might be the next week or maybe the one after that. That was in June, and after that, I didn't hear from her for months.
In August, I reached out to ask about my pants, and she told me she was going on vacation for a month but promised to get to them as soon as she returned. I waited a whole month after she was supposed to return, but still heard nothing. In mid-October, I texted her again saying I was coming to pick up my pants, and suddenly, they were done. When I went to pay, I realized she doesn't accept credit cards, which I'm sure I was told but at that point it had been 5 months, and had to return with a check.
Over the next two weeks, I tried to pick them up twice during her posted business hours, but both times the shop was closed. At that point, it was November. I gave up for a while, and my friend finally picked them up for me this week. When he got them, the owner had the audacity to say I was lucky she still had them, since she doesn’t keep tailoring for a year. The reality is that half of that year was spent waiting for her to actually do the work, and another month was spent trying to get to the shop when it was actually open.
Overall, it was a terrible experience. The lack of communication, long delays, and difficulty reaching the shop made it clear that I won't be returning. I wouldn't recommend this tailoring...
Read moreFashion In Style is the best tailoring place I have ever been to. Visnja was so patient and curtious with me. I went in on a Thursday and the wedding I was attending was that Saturday. I had to get my suit fully altered and dry cleaned within two days and Fashion In Style did it in one day. Not to mention, their pricing beat all the tailors I call in the Mentor, Willoughby and Eastlake area. Many of the tailors I called where rude and said there was no possible way what I needed done would be done in two days. When I received my suit the next day the workmanship was amazing and again the customer service was outstanding. Visnja really made me feel like family even though I just met her on that Thursday. I was so pleased with my whole experience. I gave her hug and told her it's nice to have someone who really cares about their customers. If you are looking for a tailor, who will give great customer service, competitive pricing and great worksmanship, look no further. Thank you again Visnja and to...
