Outstanding Lake to go to. Been to most of them and this lake is not that busy, has beautiful natural landscapes and homes, great fishing and NO HOUSE BOATS (which is perfect if you don't like the waves and space these bohemeths take up). If you don't have a boat they have a great business on the lake to rent from. I believe it is called Young Harris Watersports and they have every kind of boat imaginable except house boats. Go to this lake often and rent from them everytime, both the lake experience and the rental experience is the best experience I've ever had...

Lake Oconee has multiple well kept campgrounds, five star hotel in Ritz-Carlton, cottages in Reynolds and Harbor Club and 8 1/2 good courses right on lake!
Fishing is good and plenty of great guided fishing companies. I would highly recommend Reel Time Fishing. Silver Moon is place to eat for dinner!

We went out on a fishing tour with Chad Smith Guide Service. Which was our first time crappie fishing. Why don't you look at these two pretty crappies. They were caught near the Sugar Creek Marina . We brought on food and beverages, so we could be great during our tour. He stop us 2 times for restroom breaks. Very kid and lady friendly!!
