I recently visited the Ritz for my husband's work trip. The hosts of his event paid for the spouses to have 1 service at the spa and I chose a massage. The morning of I called to schedule a manicure and pedicure as well for after lunch. I arrived an hour before my massage (9am) to enjoy all that the spa had to offer. Don't forget your swimsuit so you can enjoy everything. Upon my arrival, I received a quick tour and my locker, robe and slippers. I changed into my swimsuit, robe and slippers and started in the eucalyptus steam room (which is absolutely amazing). Next I took a quick dip in the cold plunge pool, next was the sauna followed by another dip on the cold pool and relaxed in the hot tub until it was time for my massage. The hot tub is wonderful and has a fireplace behind it (very relaxing).
My massage was absolutely fantastic. They offer several "enhancements" / add ons and I chose the firming butter...wonderful. I asked for deep tissue and I made sure to let the front desk staff know that this was the best massage I've ever gotten. Hands down the best.
By this time it was lunch time so I scanned the spa lunch menu but nothing sounded great. I got changed back into my clothes and headed to Gaby's by the Lake restaurant for a quick lunch with a view. After lunch I headed straight back to the spa and spent the next 2 hours repeating my steam room, sauna, hot tub and plunge pool until I was absolutely relaxed and headed to the relaxation room to wait for my mani/pedi. They have coffee, tea and water in the relaxation room so I enjoyed an espresso and magazines. No one told me however that for my nail appointment I needed to be downstairs in a different waiting area. Thankfully someone came up to find me and escorted me down.
Great mani pedi with extra attention paid to my hands which I appreciated. When you book a nail service here you get to keep your nail polish. Since I had two services I got two bottles of polish, all of my manicure equipment (file, buffer etc) which was a nice touch and not expected.
The only thing I wish was that the co-ed area where there is a huge pool and another hot tub had been open but unfortunately it was all closed for renovations. It will be amazing when done. My 6 (yes six) hours at the spa were the best and I will absolutely do it again should we return...
Read moreVisited the spa while staying at the Ritz with my wife for our 18th anniversary. The facilities are nice and, although rather small, I enjoyed the dry sauna and jacuzzi (there's also a steam sauna and a cold bath but I didn't partake in those). The indoor heated pool is pretty huge and also looked great.
Staff are very friendly. I booked a 50-minute massage, which is expectedly pricey (~$200 after tip I believe it was), but the therapist was very good—experienced and knowledgeable.
It is worth mentioning that Ritz guests have access to the spa amenities (all areas) even if they have not booked a treatment, which is quite nice. Certainly not the biggest or fanciest spa I've been in (Westglow and Grove Park Inn comes to mind) but it's up to par...
Read moreI spent my Birthday at the spa, and they treated me like a queen. The services were superb. The staff were so kind and accommodating. I enjoyed the entire day on the property. The spa was extremely clean organized very calm environment that you expect when you visit a spa. There were not a lot of loud bridal parties. The sauna, and stream room were awesome, and the pool was incredible. The grounds around the spa were so comfortable there were multiple area to sit outside and take in the views of Lake Oconee. I would highly recommend visiting The spa at The...
