Otter Creek Off-Leash Dog Park — Attraction in Eau Claire

Dogs will love this park for many reasons, open space, other tame dogs around, water bowls, trees of many sorts, and mine enjoys smelling the fence along the entire perimeter more than anything... but PEOPLE read these reviews because they want to know if people will like it too - well, I as a person say YES. The crowd that frequents this park is generally polite, I've not had a bad encounter in all of three years going here.

Everyone is nice and understanding if there is any barking going on, i mean it IS a dog park and dogs do bark... There are chairs and benches around the park for humans to rest on, and during the summer and fall seasons there is a water fountain for fresh water for your puppers. bottom line - my dog loves it, he gets excited if we are just going to Walmart because he knows Walmart is on the way to the park. it's a fair price for getting your furry family member so room to run and be a dog. Large spaces for small & large dogs. Only issue was with a few of the owner's that ignored their aggressive dogs.

They did NOTHING to stop their misbehaving dogs. I wanted a shock collar for these people.

The dog park has both flat walking areas and hilly parts with lots of shade trees. Plenty of benches.

I went on a weekday approx 1:00 pm. Around 10-12 dogs wirh 2 naughty owners who didn't watch their dogs and 5 owners who followed rules. I would NEVER suggest going when it's more crowded than 10-12 dogs..

BE AWARE of owners who show absolutely NO concern towards other dogs. And less concern about watching their own...

This dog park is spacious and like most other dog parks it has the common walking trail along the outer edge of the park. Also, there's a smaller fenced off part for the little doggos too! And water is accessible except for when winter comes they close it off. (Presumably.) The only slight downside is that this park is right next to a major highway so when your on the side of the park that's closer to the highway, it can get a little loud with all the semis and vehicles whirring by.
