This used to be a favorite library for me. However, in the past few years it has become extremely noisy. The library has allowed a profit-making business to tutor students at various tables throughout the library. Thus, anyone there for quiet study has to move and hope they do not end-up next to a tutor and his/her student. Incidentally, the tutors charge anywhere from $100 to $150/per hour. There are rooms to which one can retreat. but these rooms do not have computers. A patron would have to bring his/her own computer. I have been there at all times of the day and evening. The mornings are full of children running and laughing and adults talking at audible levels. The children have a room with doors but frequently both doors are left opened. Children's books are not kept near the children's room or play area. They are kept at the opposite end of the library so the children run to the opposite end laughing and yelling. No such thing as quiet study at this library. It is very, very unfortunate that the culture and environment of a public library is being controlled by a few...

I mean this in the kindest way possible. My 2&3 year olds were weirded out by today's story about a bat knowing deep down he was a butterfly and cross-dressing as another species (no, I'm...

They also have a printer that you can use to print black and white copies or color copies for $0.10 per page. If you have a Hennepin county library card from a different place, you can use...
