Phoenix Theatre — Attraction in Edmonds

First time that my wife, daughter, and I attended the Phoenix Theater. We were greeted like we have been attending there forever. The staff was very cheerful and friendly. The musical "The Heathers" was featured. As the lights went down, and Veronica was standing all alone in the dark, I knew we were in for a great performance. I was not disappointed. The cast was SENSATIONAL, from the beginning to the end of the play. I was so captivated, I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting with great anticipation for what followed next. There were a few times they actually drew me into the scene. My wife had to hold me down, because I was ready to intervene in some of the scenes. Such scenes as: The school jocks were bullying the nerds, and making fun of Martha's appearance, size. The Three Heather's treating everyone as if they were beneath them. The one that really got me almost to me feet, was when Martha was walking on the edge of the stage like she was on the edge of a building right in front of me. She acted as if she was going to fall, and I lunged forward as to catch her. My wife grabbed my arm and held me back into my seat. There were a lot more, too many to list, but that's what made me enjoy it so much.

Let's talk about everyone's sing. Those voices, they were so strong, passionate, and very, very heartfelt. I could understand every word, and it actually felt as if they were singing to only me.

In my opinion each and everyone of those young ladies, and young men deserved the standing ovation they received. My only regret was that I was not able to give them one myself.

Went to see the Nice Family Christmas play with my 12 year old daughter. Our first time at this theatre. Very enjoyed the play and laughed so much. However, we couldn’t give it 5 stars as most of the jokes in the first half is very inappropriate for kids, even 12 years old. We bought tickets on line and the website doesn’t have any info about minimum ages and warnings. We gave feedback to the staff so hopefully they will will consider updating...

Very much enjoyed the Calendar Girls at this wonderful theatre. It’s cozy and intimate theatre in a little non-descript strip mall in Edmonds/Shoreline.

Every play I’ve gone for here has been delightful. They are funny, quirky and the cast is talented.

I love that there is plenty of parking and I can enjoy some pre-theatre food at Caravan Kebab or Honduran food from the taco truck in the lot.
