Please do not waste your money!! I would consider there website false advertising and the horses are not treated well enough. This was my family's present to me for my birthday and it was awful. There was a horrible septic smell almost the entire wagon ride. It was a wagon ride because there was now snow. It was pitch black and icy, so hard on the horses. The sky's were clear but the stars didn't make up for the awful smell. Before the ride, I was told we would be able to take pictures with the horses and pet them (which was our main reason for coming) but when it was over they were highly irritated, couldn't stand still and were ready to be put up so we did not get any pictures with them. I talked to the handlers afterwards and they explained to me that they did not have horse shoes on because of the ice and that was causing their feet to hurt. One horse kept favoring his back right leg, picking it up. They were feeding out of halter sacks and not buckets or something that would give adequate ventilation for them to breath and eat after their hard work nor was there water out for them. I also asked where there stalls or barn was and they told me they didn't have cover and they were just put out in pens with no shelter. What a way to treat your money makers. Truly sad they treat those big beautiful boys that way. Also, at dinner, the food and drinks are not served to you. It is buffet style for all the food and you go to a bar to order drinks. We had to ask someone to bring out the ice cream for my daughter because the was not anymore out to serve and smores were never offered to us. The entertainment that serenades you was a guy on a little stage that sang requested cover songs. Not great. They tried to charge us $45 for our 4 year old, who is free according to the site, even though we input her age on our reservations and spent 30 minutes correcting the charges. Read the fine print, an 18% gratuity is already added to the check. For $95 a person, do yourself snd the horses a favor and save your money and go find something else to do or spend your money on.

My family booked ATV tours for 6 of us, all adults. We had a blast! The owner who checked us in was great. He had a sense of humor and made everything to smoothly to get us set up. All of the equipment (helmets, goggles, and Rzrs) were all in great shape. Our tour guide gave us enough of a tutorial on how to drive that we knew what we were doing, but we didn't feel like we were sitting through class and being given a whole list of what not to do. Once we were on the ride, he was pretty laid back. We were all different comfort levels as far as how fast we wanted to take it, and he somehow managed to make sure everyone had the kind of tour they wanted. He stopped every so often to let the slower tail end catch up, and we stopped and got out of our vehicles at a couple really beautiful spots in order to take pictures and eat/drink the provided snacks and drinks. I can only imagine that if the ATV tour was so well run, any other adventure outing from them would be great as well.

This was one of the activities I was most looking forward to when traveling to Colorado and it did not disappoint. We started the evening with a salad and some chili. The buffet opens at 7:30 so you can have your full dinner if you want. After enjoying our appetizers the hostess had us get ready for our sleigh ride. It’s was beautiful and the sleigh driver allowed for pictures and petting the horses after the ride (I love horses and these were the second largest horses in the world). We went back in and finished dinner with amazing steak, shrimp, and veggie mix to live music. If I could give this experience 20 stars I would. The hostess was so sweet and answered all my questions.

This was my FIRST and LAST time at 4 Eagle Ranch. When I called to make reservations for the Wagon Ride Dinner I was told to arrive after 7, dinner at 7:30 followed by your wagon ride. We arrived a little before 7, could not find any employee to direct us, just wondered around until we made our way inside the Grill….found someone at the bar. We were directed to the counter where someone seated us in the dining room. We sat there about 15 minutes before someone came by and said the buffet was ready - -did not show us where to go-- we found our food and headed back to our table. We were expecting to hear Country Western music (this was a western ranch) but we got one guy with a guitar singing a repertoire of songs from light rock to golden oldie’s. We never heard any country western. Someone came to our table around 8pm and took us outside for our 15-minute round trip wagon ride down a dirt round alongside the property. We returned and again were given no information – we basically figured it out that we were to entertain ourselves! We were expecting this to be a 2-hour long event – The buffet dinner food was good, but not worth the cost. No way was this worth $80 per person!! We have visited the Sleigh and Chuck Wagon Dinner rides at Two Below Zero in Breckenridge - they actually had a show during dinner and the rides went somewhere!! I would not recommend paying for the Wagon Ride Dinner – you can just show up and wonder around if that’s your thing. Below is the advertised information from the 4 Eagle Ranch website regarding the Wagon Ride Dinner. I have made my comments next to each item.

4 EAGLE RANCH WAGON RIDE DINNER Includes musical entertainment, horse-drawn wagon rides, a delicious buffet, and a cash bar is available for alcoholic beverages and sodas. Other activities include, horseshoe pits, corn hole, steer head roping, and a volleyball net are available.

Schedule Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays only 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm - (This is NOT a 2-hour event, you can arrive anytime after 7pm - they sit you for your buffet dinner and come get you for your wagon ride)

Activities and Entertainment Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides (This is a 15 minute round trip ride down a dirt road along the side of the property)

Live Musical Entertainment (This is one guy singing with a guitar in the dining room)

Corn hole (The Corn hole boards looked about 50 years old, all worn out and broken, totally un-useable!)

Horseshoes (Never saw the horse shoe pits)

Pricing $80 Adults 13 and Over (This is TOTALLY OVER-PRICED!! A buffet dinner and...

Based on a recommendation, my friend and I made reservations back in late October at 4 Eagle Ranch for their New Years Eve dinner and sleigh ride for our families. The price of $175 per adult and $75 per kid was steep, but we knew our kids (5 total) would be ecstatic about this experience, and decided to make it a Christmas gift for the kiddos. On December 31st, it snowed the entire day, but our group of 10 decided it was still worth going out to 4 Eagle Ranch, even though we are not used to driving in these weather conditions (we’re from Texas). When we arrived, my friend was told that there would be no sleigh rides due to the amount of snow. As you can imagine, we were all super upset, with a couple of our kids almost in tears. The owners of 4 Eagle Ranch should have notified their guests of this major change BEFORE we drove all the way out there! Their website states that if there is not enough snow, they would do horse-drawn wagon rides, but does not state anything about sleigh rides being cancelled in the event of too much snow. We did not book this experience for the dinner or to listen to the awful band they had that night. The owner offered to book us a private sleigh ride in the coming days, and ended up giving everyone 20% off that night, because obviously we were not the only ones upset. Before we left that night, I approached her to find out how to schedule the sleigh ride, but she said oh no, we’re just giving everyone the 20% off. So we paid $175 per adult and $75 per kid that night before discount for a buffet dinner and awful band, PLUS had to pay for any drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) PLUS had an automatic 20% gratuity added to our bill that went to staff who only filled our water glasses and picked up dirty plates. 4 Eagle Ranch knew exactly what they were doing - do not notify guests of the big change, get them to the venue, and ultimately still make the money. Never again. All our kids have said since that night is how sad they are that they didn’t get to do a...
