The sea is a pasture here, and the sand is its soft bedding. Malibu Dog Beach Lily is no place of idle lounging, but a grand open range where the hounds run free. I’ve guided many through fields and valleys, but here my flock needs no prodding. They know the scent of salt and the rhythm of waves, and they chase it as if it were the wind itself.
The beach is wide enough for the pack to stretch its legs, yet gentle enough that even the timidest pup finds courage. The water laps not as a threat, but as a challenge: “Come, test your paws.” Some charge headlong, splashing like wild colts. Others stand at the edge, noses twitching, eyes full of questions. And I, their shepherd, watch with pride.
There is no fence here but the horizon. No tether but joy. The fellowship among beasts is plain — strangers sniff once, then play like kin. The sand clings to fur, the sun crowns them in gold, and their laughter (for dogs do laugh) carries over the surf.
Malibu Dog Beach Lily is not merely a beach. It is a proving ground of spirit, a gathering place of pack and tide. Were I to lead my flock anywhere, it would be here — where dogs remember their freedom, and man remembers why he...
Read moreHello. The Longport Dog Beach is a great place, I am so glad that we found it. We have visited the park about 6 times in the last few years, however our last visit was the worst. My wife and I were playing with our dog, throwing the ball into the water, when suddenly two people with four dogs appeared. They could not control their dogs. They started fighting with our dog which escaped into the water....a nearby dog did not fair as well. They attacked an older couples dog...the owners of the victim had to beat the attackers with her chair. I just wish that people could control their dogs better...if they can't, They should not let them run loose at...
Read moreGave it 4 stars just because of the parking. Otherwise, it’s the perfect place to spend a day with your dog/dogs! All of the dogs seemed to be in heaven! The “humans” seemed to having a good time as well. Being able to safely let our dog off the leash to just run, explore, etc was the best. The beach is protected, much larger than I thought it would be, and the water is calm. It was also clean. We brought our own trash bags, etc, as there aren’t any cans. Be patient and wait for a legal place to park. The cars parked along the road where it clearly says “No Parking” were all getting tickets. We will definitely be back. My dog got a bath...
