Love the family oriented beach setup with lots of open sand to set up a nice day at the beach. The beach itself was pretty clean lots of shells mixed in with the sand where the water meets the shore. Dark green and pretty clear water. The parking situation/restroom situation is why it losses a ☆. It was not the best parking lot with only a few tight spaces and one way in/out so you have to back out if there are no open spots. The restrooms were locked although they did have a shower outside the restroom building in a bit of a sandy mess so no way to really wash off well and stay that way. I would enjoy finding a rental right on the beach to stay and enjoy the day much better than the public access...

We had a wonderful young woman there with her husband, as we started to pack it up to leave the young girl stopped by to tell my husband how impressed she and her husband were. They had sit and watched as my husband got me and boys, with our chairs, toys, umbrella and a few drinks situated. Then he went up to get his jeans and work boots off and come back to have fun with grandkids while we all played. The young woman wanted him to know how much they enjoyed seeing the proper gentlemans way of helping out. We truly had a great day at beach on Perdido Beach....

It was not overly crowded when we visited. It was like most that I've been to, where people mostly gather near the stairs to get back to the parking lot. We walked a little distance and found a quieter area to spend some time. The water is lovely and sun and sand made it a relaxing day. I fell asleep listening...
