Love the family oriented beach setup with lots of open sand to set up a nice day at the beach. The beach itself was pretty clean lots of shells mixed in with the sand where the water meets the shore. Dark green and pretty clear water. The parking situation/restroom situation is why it losses a ☆. It was not the best parking lot with only a few tight spaces and one way in/out so you have to back out if there are no open spots. The restrooms were locked although they did have a shower outside the restroom building in a bit of a sandy mess so no way to really wash off well and stay that way. I would enjoy finding a rental right on the beach to stay and enjoy the day much better than the public access...

Took 3 grandsons to the beach. We had a wonderful time. Great beach for the family. We had a wonderful young woman there with her husband, as we started to pack it up to leave the young girl stopped by to tell my husband how impressed she and her husband were. They had sit and watched as my husband got me and boys, with our chairs, toys, umbrella and a few drinks situated. Then he went up to get his jeans and work boots off and come back to have fun with grandkids while we all played. The young woman wanted him to know how much they enjoyed seeing the proper gentlemans way of helping out. We truly had a great day at beach on Perdido Beach....

I'm not a connoisseur of beaches, since I am from upstate New York and have lived in Missouri for many years. But my friend that I traveled with spent most of his life in southern California, and we've visited some beaches on the east coast of Florida. He rates this one as 5 stars.

It was not overly crowded when we visited. It was like most that I've been to, where people mostly gather near the stairs to get back to the parking lot. We walked a little distance and found a quieter area to spend some time. The water is lovely and sun and sand made it a relaxing day. I fell asleep listening...

First time here. December with beautiful skies, light breeze and approximately mid 50's. Walked the beach for a few hours and only pasted one man fishing. Found my first sand dollar and other beautiful and large shells. Water was a tad chilly but able to walk in and out while walking the beach and it wasn't too bad. The sand was white and soft. Very peaceful and pleasant. Definitely will return and highly recommend. Small parking lot for maybe 20 cars, restrooms were closed due to vandalism but there were 2 port a pots.

The white sand beach was beautiful. However the waterfront was seaweedy. Must be the time of year, but it was still pretty water nonetheless. Way better than Galveston beaches :) Public access parking was very small, but then again this also meant that the beach was not crowded. If you have a 4x4, then you have more available parking.
