Seafood Market — Attraction in Elizabethtown

I was so excited to find this seafood market/restaurant. The owners catch and drive up all the food from the Gulf, so it is all incredibly fresh.

It is a super casual place, with great prices. The interior is pretty sparse, but clean. Though you probably won't care about ambiance once you bite into the food. My brother had the boiled crawfish & blue crab, I had the boiled shrimp plate & gumbo. It was all on point.

Don't be afraid to ask questions if you're new to seafood, all of the employees were incredibly friendly.

They have a market bar with plenty of uncooked fish, crabs, crawfish, and other stuff, depending on the season. They'll be happy to boil anything from the bar in the restaurant, if you'd rather them cook it for you.

They also have a freezer full of stuff you can take home. I got two frozen crawfish pies that were delicious the next day.

This is a seafood shop with fresh fish from the gulf. They will prepare and serve or you can buy in bulk what you want raw. We bought raw seafood to take home. Loved the grouper! It's our new fave. Fresh shucked oysters were great. The giant red shrimp were huge. 3 or 4 would be a good serving. Also bought trigger fish, but haven't tried them yet. Like everywhere else inland, it was expensive. But they were filleting and chopping right there in front of the store, so it's super fresh.

They also had frozen gator, lobster, scallops, and other unique things you dont find just anywhere. They packed our selections on ice, so we could throw it in our cooler and drive it an hour back home. Will def be...

I highly recommend this Seafood Market. I had the shrimp and catfish special. The catfish was the freshest catfish I’ve eaten since I was a kid eating my grandparents fresh caught fish. The shrimp were quite large and very “meaty”! The hush puppies were sweet and delicious. I could snack on them! My husband and I drove from Indiana to try the seafood. My husband had the mahi mahi.
