Etown Donut — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

I really like the donuts and the lady that works the front counter is very friendly, she always is. But the man in the back who I assume is her husband and co-owner is not friendly at all. I'm there usually either every Saturday or every other Saturday or Sunday. And anytime he has had to help me there's never a smile on his face and he looks like he is loathed to help me. This morning there was a woman in front of me she was white he came out the back smiled and asked if could help her. But when it was my turn his smile visibly dropped and he was not very friendly when he asked could he help me. I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. The owners are incredibly friendly, hard working people. They only take cash or check (minimum purchase of $6 to pay with check, if I remember correctly), but I will gladly take that over higher prices of donuts due to card fees any day. I have seen reviews complaining about lack of variety, but they probably went in close to closing time. If you go in early, you have a wide selection of donuts and other breakfast items such as sausage rolls or croissants. The food is good, the people are nice, and quality is consistent. I think it's been 15 years I have gone there now and the doughnuts are as good as ever. While I have moved away my mom is still in the area and the lady here asks about me every time she is in. Today when I visited she knew who I was still and I've been gone almost 9 years now. I make it a point to go in whenever I'm in town.
