Busse Woods Grove 27 — Attraction in Elk Grove Township

Large forest preserve in North Chicago. The main walking and biking track is paved and goes all around the park around the lake. The track is about 7 miles all around with a few tracks which branch off. There are a few bridges which has dams under it. It is on a river which has been dammed to make a lake. Many people including kids walked down to the lake or river to fish. You do need a fishing license and can catch only up to 2 fish. There are many parking lots. There is a boat loading area too. Love the park, there aren't too many in the area. But it gets crowded, people with kids, dogs, strollers, bikes..all in one. The paths should be repaved. Separate bike and walk paths needed.
