Very easy to access high point. Right off the road, however, the road is off the beaten path. Very beautiful windy roads to get to this mountain. The way we took wat many scenic views, and a lot of Amish carts which we need to see.
There are several trails you can use to go up to see it, or you can drive and get within 50 yards. There's a parking lot that can fit normal size cars all the way to larger vehicles with small trailers. About a mile away from the high point, there's a park that does have restrooms and larger parking. Along with picnic tables and sitting areas. We did pass a campground along the way, that was within a few miles from the high point.

The high point is on a rock just next to the observation tower. I will post a picture so you can see where the high point is located in comparison to the observation tower.

Read moreBeautiful high point. We had our Highpointers Konvention here in 2022. Tower provides 360-degree views. Easy drive-up to the top. If you want somewhat of a hike, there are a few trails in the natural area that allow you to climb down and then back up. There are plans to improve the displays on top of the mountain, and I look forward to seeing how they turn out. Stop by if you are ever in Somerset County PA or...
