I go here twice a year and it's definitely the best place to go in the fall. It's the highest point in PA. There's a tower where you can take steps up to the top and see the great view. You can also see three states from here. Make sure you come earlier in the fall if you don't live in the area because the trees change quicker in the mountains or any high elevation. I also recommend taking side roads instead of major highways because of all the nice shops and restaurants. If coming from the east, take 119 south to route 31 then connect to 219 (I believe) that heads toward Myersdale then head to Mt Davis. I visited on a beautiful, warm winter day, but there was considerably more snow and ice on the mountain. It should be noted that many of the park roads are not maintained in the winter.
After climbing several flights of stairs, the tower gives you a clear 360° view of the surrounding area. I was there just before sunset, which is when the park closes (closed dusk to dawn, with no overnight camping allowed near the tower).
