It features a maritime museum, a freshwater aquarium, a children’s play area, and a waterfront park. It also hosts events and programs throughout the year, such as sailing lessons, kayak rentals, fishing clinics,. Also, there is a new cruise service that operates from Discovery Pier. The port expects to see more cruise ship activity in the coming years, as the demand for specialty cruises grows. You should visit if you are looking for a fun and educational experience on the water. You can learn more about the Great Lakes, enjoy the scenic views, and participate in various activities. Discovery Pier is open year-round, but some attractions may have seasonal hours.

Got on the maintiou sail boat cruise here. Nice pier. Covered picnic table area to chill out at. Porto potties that were actually clean. Ticket booth to get your tickets from for whatever cruise you are getting to. Handicap accessible ramp with small lift for wheelchairs. Plenty of handicap parking also. With some regular parking as well.

Worth the tour! Very good guide, interesting and informative with nice balance of talking and some periods of quiet. Enjoyed the upper deck, both inside and outside. Bathrooms and refreshments available. Called and got very helpful directions re parking and boarding details.

My wife and I did the sunset cruise in July 2025. Only issue was there was not ample outdoor seating. We were on top deck and had to look out windows. Once the cruise started, we were able to move around and go out front for a while. It was a great cruise and we had a great time. Crew was great and the bartender made killer Bloody Mary drinks for my wife and I. Awesome time and no real complaints. Worth the fee and made our evening awesome. Highly...

Not paved but well packed soil and a roundabout area to easily reverse course back to...
