On 17 Feb 2025, I attended Paradise Casino restaurant for their Monday Spaghetti Special, my friend told me about how he orders an extra side of meat sauce for 50 cents, so we both ordered extra meat sauce and we're charged exactly that. Yesterday, 24 Feb 2024, 7 of us returned to the casino for the Monday Spaghetti Special, we were asked how many in our party. There were 7 of us checking in and the 7th person was parking their vehicle. There were three or four staff at the check-in location and the female staff member who was interacting with us told us they would NOT SEAT US until that 7th person was actually there. It should be noted that 90% of the tables in the restaurant were EMPTY at the time, the staff member was rude and authoritative in attitude. We all ordered the Spaghetti Special and ordered the extra side of meat sauce, when we got our checks, we were all charged $3.75 per side order instead of 50 cents that was always charged on previous visits. We asked to speak to a manager, we explained the issue to the female Manager about the pricing disparity, she stood her ground and stated the $3.75 charge for the side of sauce is ALWAYS charged the same as a bowl of soup. Then our server, took our checks back, came back and stated she gave us a discount, which worked out to 50 cents per side order, so we each were still charged $3 for each side order, instead of 50 cents as charged on previous visits. The issue is, the Manager should have honored the previous pricing experience of 50 cents per side order, to provide an excellent customer service experience and could have stated that the price for the side order on future visits would be $3.75, but she did not. With the exception of one female staff member, who was not even our server, NONE OF THE STAFF in this restaurant delivered a positive customer service experience, as a customers, we felt like we were an inconvenience. Food service is MORE THAN JUST FOOD, we can get Spaghetti anywhere, we won't be back because of the customer service experience and the pricing...
Read moreThe place is constantly under construction, which is frustrating. The majority of the staff exhibit no personality at all whatsoever, and the games are tight. Also, no gift shop or convenience store at all, except for a cigarette shop that is never open. That's the biggest downsides to Paradise. However, the upsides continue to draw me and my wife back. First, they are right outside of Yuma 3 minutes from the freeway. The food in their restaurant is quality and reasonably priced. The cigarettes are the cheapest around. The few staff that do exhibit a personality are nice, polite and friendly. Most of the emotionless staff are actually quite nice, but you will have to engage them with a friendly hello first. The place is always kept spotless, despite the messiness of gamblers. They will will cash off of a credit/debit card at the cage for a reasonable 6% fee. Though the $20 minimum makes the atm better if you are pulling out more than $60. The lack of a gas station in the area for here and their sister casino Quechan is a bit surprising. Smoking is available throughout. Non smokers... well, you pretty much have every where else in the country so, no sympathy for you. Go smoke free outside of a house of sin. Variety of games and fair play makes it a pleasant environment. The non-alcoholic beverages are brought around on a little cart like the 50s. It is truly the only casino I have every been to that does that. It is better than competitor Cocopah, but is completely outshined by their own sister casino, though it is about 10 miles deeper into California than I like to go. Local vibe, and cleanliness are the main...
Read moreI think all things considered, this is a casino, the drinks are fairly priced, it is smoke free, the games are reasonably priced for minimum bets but all things considered it is still a casino, you are gonna lose money before you win money, you are gonna spend either a lot of time or very little time here. But for the most part you're gonna have fun doing it here. Unlike most other casinos in the area, this is the only one that has roulette, blackjack, craps, and soon to have ultimate Texas hold em under the same roof. Unlike most casino's, paradise doesn't have a maze like feel to the floor making it easy to walk around and get from one side of the building to the other, the events they host very frequently can be a bit underwhelming at times with the drawing system and times but we roll back to the " this is a casino" vibe. The parking for the most part is very accessible. Easily able to hold a large amount of vehicles for whatever the occasion they host(excluding concerts or major events for anyone with big rigs, r.vs, boats, etc) the staff is friendly enough and they keep the place clean. The bar is decently sized with a cart always moving around taking orders for anyone playing. I think as a whole, paradise is a very nice place to come and play some games, the environmental is friendly, clean, and not so dim and sad other casinos have a tendency to be. I'm not gonna tell anyone to come and gamble your money away but if you want to come and have a good time, play some games and all around just enjoy yourself, this is where I would do it in a gambling sense. All in all. Paradise is a solid place....
