No doubt this is a beautiful area for walking on the Palisades Shoreline Trail. In summer it is green and shady. However, as a paddler who has been exploring this area for years, I do not believe there is any longer a beach here. Either this is the historical site of Canoe Beach or it is mis-located on the map, not sure which. This entire stretch is behind the crude boulder seawall that protects much of the shoreline now, with nowhere to land a canoe or kayak these days. However, a few thousand feet to the south there is a sandy beach just to the south of the Undercliff ruins. And approximately 1500 feet to the north of this location on the map is a very small rocky beach (see the...
