Awful maintenance. Beautiful park, great setup and location, but dirty. No one is doing pest control. There are a bunch of huge wasp nests under the shade structures and in the restroom/concession buildings. Like the size of someone's head, inside the screens at the top of the buildings, etc so there are dozens and dozens of wasps swarming constantly. It's hard to be near the buildings or use the bathrooms. Don't take your kids there without an EpiPen (or four) if they are allergic. The restrooms were dirty - dead June bugs and dead spiders in the sinks, dirt, leaves, and tp on the floor. It's a shame because if it was taken care of, it would be...

My little woman and I went here to go view the Bluebonnet trail aspect in Texas. It was pretty nice to do something like this with your partner. The park itself wasn't too bad. Lots of people of course so it felt a little crowded but a cute little Park nonetheless with a man-made pond in the middle of it. Lots of grass area for the bluebonnets to grow through.

There are two or three extra pictures in here that are from the actual trail and not the park but I thought they fit nicely because I did talk about us traveling down to Bluebonnet trail., which this...

We went on Sunday 4/17. Did not realize it was Ennis' festival weekend. The park was not packed but very full. This was our first time to make this trip. The park had wonderful covered picnic tables, nice layout and the pond is awesome, and the bluebonnets were abloom.

However, the trash cans were spilling over, and there is only 1 bathroom, which was disgusting and had no toilet paper. It is hard to tell a 5 yr old to hold their bladder (she was already dancing) while she waits for 3 grown men in front of her. We didn't...

A lovely town (Ennis) to visit if you want to see fields of bluebonnets. The bluebonnet park/veterans memorial park ( free entrance) has lots of beautiful flowers to admire and enjoy. Walk along the skinny trails, and try not to tread all those gorgeous blooms. There are more fields of flowers along Creechville Rd. Be adventurous and drive along the back roads. We sure did and found more blooms. ** There’s also a Buc-ee’s nearby to quench your thirst and to stock up on snacks.

Oh my goodness! I can't begin to describe the total beauty of this park. The bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush were everywhere along the parks main route. Loads of picnic tables and a great walking path to stretch your legs. If you are going, please don't step on the flowers. I witnessed groups just plopping down right on top of their delicate flowers. Plenty of grass openings amongst the blooms. Be kind and let others have a chance to witness the beauty.
