We went for the Ennis Freedom Fest...it was really fun and the park was a perfect setting for family fun and fireworks. They had lots of booths set up with arts and crafts, face painting and temporary tattoos, and they even had huge jenga game in one. They had a rock climbing wall, a little paddle boat ride for the kids, and a dunking booth. They had a couple of food trucks set up, along with the park's own little concession stand with hot dogs , sausage wraps, and nachos. The band was great...they sounded good and their classic rock playlist was amazing! Every song was a hit and they had everyone dancing around. I thought it was a great event for the whole family, and even though the storms tried to ruin it all, fireworks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate April 2023 The blue bonnet fields are across the parking lots from veterans memorial park. Looks like a part of the field was mowed down to make room for a soccer field. The bluebonnets were not as dense this year probably from the dought. The place does have a public restroom, playground and picnic tables too
This place has thick patches of bluebonnets. April is the month to go! Great place...
