Willie's Distillery Inc. — Attraction in Ennis

Willie’s is GREAT! I, however, made the mistake of shopping thru them online for a surprise gift to be sent to Arizona…. BIG MISTAKE! My order went thru a company called BigThirst.com… Terrible service! In fact, one giant headache after another! Granted, it was Christmas time, but even so, BigThirst marketed themselves well, or so I thought… their system would not accept my email for tracking, only the recipients… It took 2 weeks just to get a tracking number out of them, as you can’t call, it’s only email… when they did come up with a tracking number, they sent it to the recipient only, (surprise!) ALONG WITH THE INVOICE SHOWING THE COST OF EACH ITEM!!! Hello? It’s a GIFT!!!😱This company is out of Texas, so, I thought that Texas to Arizona might be quicker??? Not so! My friends are STILL waiting… Aside from the order, there is a $20 signing fee to prove they are over 21…😖 They’re former Montanans who love Willie’s, and they’re IN THEIR 70’s! BigThirst is definitely not for convenience. I hope Willie’s is able to create more good jobs in Montana, & handle their own shipping with the same care that they handle their product someday. Shipping alcohol on one’s own has become more difficult due to liability issues with the shippers, so, I thought this was the answer. If Willie’s switched shippers, it may improve. But BigThirst?...

We were not whiskey drinkers until we tried Willie's. My parents live near there and a few years ago we were visiting and tasted the Willie's Honey Moonshine. We were hooked. We went to their store and bought all we could of the Honey, Bourbon and the straight Moonshine. Batch number one it said on the bottles so that tells you how long we have been going there. We now load up every time we visit my parents and bring boxes of Willie's stuff back to Texas. We have friends here in Texas that make requests when we go up. The last time we were there this past August we brought home some of their maple syrup. Wow. The stuff is wonderful. All I can say is that we have tried everything Willie's has and are never disappointed. Our bar is stocked with Willie's products and our friends ask for it when they come over. The only thing we wish is that we had the recipes for some of the great cocktails they were making when we were there. Anyway, if you are in Ennis, MT you have to make it a point to visit Willie's. I was excited to visit Willie's in person. We had friends that visited Montana and brought home a bottle of the Coffee Liqueur and the Huckleberry liquor and I was hooked! I was so excited to be able to visit Ennis and Willie's on our trip to Montana. The tasting room is very cool, covered in all sorts of memorabilia. They have a lot of great merchandise, and it's located on Ennis' Main Street which is also speckled with fun shops and businesses.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed the Huckleberry white chocolate, the Moonshine Margarita and the maple bourbon smash. They are also dog friendly! My one complaint was that our server seemed a little disinterested... we were the only ones there, but we weren't really greeted or offered any recommendations or assistance with the menu. We know our way around a cocktail menu, but it's always nice when a server has a recommendation or a favorite drink to try. She did made great cocktails and we still had a great time, so we will for sure be back on our next...
