We spent about 4 hours on the Sunrise Rim Trail—partly walking, partly talking, and taking a few breaks—and it was absolutely worth it. The trail is mostly easy to walk, with stunning views almost the whole way. Mt. Rainier is right there on your left for much of the hike, looking incredibly close and majestic.
Along the way, you’ll pass a few small lakes that make great photo stops. There are also two different lookout points you can detour to, but you’ll return to the main Sunrise Rim Trail afterward.
