Fullerton Appliance Center — Attraction in Erie

I wanted to shop local, and with Covid the selection was very limited. Decided to buy a gas stove at Fullerton Appliance Center. They said it would be available for pick up at the warehouse, was not ready at that time. Then said he would have it at the store. Great! But when we picked up I noticed the floor model was missing, I asked if I got the floor model and his response was no. When I got home to unpack I realized it WAS the floor model because there was no blue protector tape and fingerprints everywhere and they had saran wrap inside the oven to make it look like it was new. I knew this was not from the warehouse but was a floor model. Went back to the store with pictures and he swears up and down it was not. I don’t like to be lied to. If he only had the floor model at the time he should of been honest and we could of worked out a deal. But instead he lied and I ended up paying full price for a floor model. He said I can get you a new one but it wouldn’t be available till February this happened right before thanksgiving and needed a stove. So unfortunately I tried to shop local but...

Bought a stove from Debbie Rickard at Fullerton Appliance in Erie. Was told an early delivery was possible but our stove was back ordered. Yet we were still informed our delivery would be a set date in two weeks. Called to confirm week before and date was confirmed. Hadn’t heard so called day before set delivery date. Was told stove wasn’t “on the truck” and still back ordered. Was told we were NOT promised a delivery date ! Told her we stayed local to prevent issues like this. Debbie Rickard was very contrary and abrupt on the phone. Kept talking over us even when I pointed it out. Didn’t appreciate her attitude when we were the ones misinformed. Guess she hadn’t heard the old adage customer is always right, or at least kill em with kindness. Not happy at all and cancelled our order when they couldn’t even guess at a delivery date !! Wouldn’t get my business in the future. Went with another local small shop…been in Erie for years…same stove…delivery 2 days after ordering !! ...

I was about to give up on fixing my speed queen drier then I met Josh at their store. He convinced me not to give up. He sent out technician Ian, my old drier was stubborn. They sent me another technician. Old school Mike the service manager was awesome. Long story short. My drier is working like new at after being 15 years old plus. They are old school honest, tell you is it worth fixing or replacing. I will be seeing them soon for a washer replacement, my old one would cost more than a new one. This kind of local business with old school honesty, customer first, and their reputation maters. They care about community not a quick buck sell out. We forget how important local businesses are, they care more than big box, FYI, corporations. They made me feel as I matter like a...
