Liberty Park — Attraction in Erie

The playground itself was quite weathered and had a lot of cobwebs, tree debris, and even a few wasp nests with actively flying wasps around. The 20,000 porta potties were a nice...selection? At least there was a place to go to the bathroom for anyone not in diapers because there are no changing tables anywhere here. Also, their breast feeding hutch was padlocked. There is a pretty awesome playground. Themed like a "Tall Ship", with a hut with chalkboard walls to do sidewalk chalk art. There is also an awesome Amphitheater style covered stage, where the local authorities have a weekly summer concert series. We love it! Review for the playground, so other parents know before you go: playground was covered in cobwebs and there were flying insects everywhere. Completely unusable. We were shocked it wasn’t maintained at all, given the great location and it being Memorial Day weekend. We were staying in a nearby hotel and always visit local playgrounds.
