A botanical park located on a hillside boasts of a myriad of rhododendron s of all colors drizzled among many other local State plants and grasses .there's also trees of all types showcased here as well.there are many hiking trails that take you thru the gardens most are not difficult to walk.this park also has many premium views of Eugene city below .there are minimal picnic tables and benches to sit on are peppered here and there to rest and enjoy the scenic beauty this park has to offer public restrooms are provided as well as disabled parking spaces which are limited.there are no bbq pits or grills . picnickers are welcome.parking is free.there is no entrance fee to enter the park .a very nice place to visit and soak up the beauty and sunshine.relax take a walk have a picnic enjoy the sights and botanicals! This is also a safe...

Was a great trip with my mom and dog since we had time to kill before a doctors appointment. We let the dog play in the fresh air. There are spots where dogs must be leashed and areas where they aren't allowed at all FYI. It's just a gorgeous place that's kept up well and my hidden secret I will now reveal about Hendricks is my mom and dad were married there outside in the park she said it's looks same I wasn't born yet and even bathrooms looked same it was nice to reminisce since I've only seen pics she had a happy fond look in here eye. There are also lots of trails to walk and many different ways to go easily can get turned around and home to where we lost Steve...

Beautiful park. There are many trees, benches, picnic tables, and trails. It's not the best for for kids although there is one swing. It's a great place to go with friends and family, or for an event. There's a water fountain for both you and your dog as well as one you can use to fill up your bottles. The restrooms are relatively clean and unlike some park bathrooms includes trash and, clean washing water, plenty of toilet paper, and soap. The park also has a beautiful pavilion with many table. This is often a meeting place for events or just to hang out. The park has a few flaws such as the lack of playground equipment and many bees, but overall it's a...

This is a beautiful Rhododendron park on a hill surrounded by rhoddy, azalea, & other flowering bushes & trees in addition to ferns, lilies, & other flowers. There are benches, water fountains & grassy lawns to rest & admire the flowers. Some of the paths are steep but others are more level. There are bathrooms & drinking water, few picnic tables. Pros: beautiful rhoddies & plants, parking lot, bathrooms, not far from UO, small picnic & play areas. Cons: main parking lot small, additional smaller lot up the road, leashed dogs allowed in main garden but not beyond

Beautiful in Spring and Fall with great picnic areas, including a sheltered set of tables. The month of May brings about an amazing Rhododendron Forest / Garden that will delight and amaze the gardeners and non-gardeners alike. Pretty straightforward parking options, bathrooms and plenty of hiking trails that include native gardens as well. Lots of benches a lovely meadow and a beautiful bird bath sculpture too. Dog friendly through most of the trails but they are not allowed in the Rhododendron garden.
