We are new to Georgia and chose to attend the Euharlee covered bridge fall festival over other festivals that same day. What an absolutely cute and neat town surrounding the covered bridge. Our family had a blast checking out the bridge. You can walk through the covered bridge. Explore the area around the bridge. We will definitely be back and can't wait take family with us when they come to visit. This is a must do and if you are around the area in October check out to see when the Fall Festival is. They had trick or treating with the vendors, so many vendors, free activities for the kiddos (games, hay rides, painting pumpkins, etc). Life entertainment and demonstrations. I believe this is a must do event and I hope to make it an annual festival for our family. We highly recommend checking out Euharlee Covered Bridge and the town...then in mid October be on the watch for their fall festival. I found info about it on Facebook

If you like history then this is the place to visit. There is a small town there in the historical district that dates back to the 1800s. It comes complete with the old district court house, the mill and an old Civil War kettle used to mine saltpeter. There is even an travels well where I could see the folks of old stopping for a cool afternoon drink. And across from it sits an Nanny G's; a bakery that once housed the town's post office. There is more to see as well, but I didn't have time to stay any longer. And I look forward to going back. I hear tell there is a town museum just waiting to be ventured.

A reasonable example of a covered bridge. Plenty of parking and a little museum to accompany it. Maybe spend 30 minutes to an hour if you want to read all the signs and do everything at the sight but not much else to do besides the bridge and museum. Plenty of space for children to runaround and a few picnic tables. You do pass several monuments on the way, the drive is very nice, and you can swing by the 2nd largest coal powerplant in the US if you want to go down the road a little further.

My wife has a fascination with covered bridges, and this one did not disappoint. We passed a giant power plant on the way in (it's coal powered, not nuclear), and shortly after arrived at the bridge. The bridge has a decent sized parking lot near it. There is also a public library and ice cream shop in the same lot. The bridge itself is pretty cool, and in good shape. You can walk across it, and feel the history with each step. There are also a few other historical landmarks nearby that you can walk to and read. We visited a little bake shop down the street, and there was a Friday Food Truck Expo going on that evening. We wish we could have stayed longer! Overall, it's a nice short stop to make if you...

Highly recommend making a trip out there. It was a cool long country mile. But well worth it.

I went out there to do two photo shoots back to back. It wasn't crowded at all. But then it was Tuesday morning too.

There are many places for photo ops. Several old buildings, of course the bridge its self.

You can even walk down to the water. There's a concrete path to lead you down. Wheel chairs and people with walkers would have no problems getting around.

Only getting into some of the buildings could be a challenge for some people. We had a lot of fun. I took some amazing photos.

And the drive out was a pretty meat country experience on its own. Go...
