Crispy Cajun of Eunice — Restaurant in Eunice

If I could give no stars I would. We decided to dine in after coming back from a funeral and once we walked in the whole restaurant was filled with smoke and the ac was not working. One of the employees opened the door to try and filter out the smoke but it was still hard to breathe. We ordered fried chicken and pickles and waited for about an hour when others who had walked in after us were already getting their food. They had chicken that was visibly ready but we waited another hour in the smoke when we decided to just leave and get a refund. Nope they refused and got angry at us when we asked because we couldn't breathe in the smoke anymore. Others were also angry but couldn't leave because they wouldn't be able to get their money back. The place was run by kids who kept making people in the drive thru park and get their orders faster than us who have waited far too long. We finally got our food (and they probably did this on purpose because we spoke up) and it was so greasy. It hadn't even been drained. The pickles had a huge pool of grease at the bottom of the tray and the chicken as well. We could not eat anything for fear of getting sick. Serving someone that should get y'all shut down. Haven't been back since and will...

Food really was very good. Prices were okay... I'd rather pay a little more on the front end instead of being nickel and dimed for ANYTHING extra. Ordered catfish plate... 4 big catfish fillets but one very tiny sauce.... about enough for 1 fish. Each additional cost .40 each. Also ordered a big pile of fried pickles (small order really was huge).... comes with NO SAUCE. gotta buy those tiny little cups at 40 cents each.... 2 should get you thru a small if you're not a real dunker. Cajun rice was good and the Cole slaw was average. Posted pics with a $20 bill for size reference.

Bottom line: food was very good... don't expect good service from the owners but their staff was exceptional! If you tip... the jar gets split but you can tip individually and they can keep it.

I was expecting a delicious surprise as the drive thru was packed and there were people waiting inside on go orders. I saw plenty of already fried chicken at the kitchen window, so I ordered a 3 piece white meat thinking I'd get my food pretty quickly. Wrong! Almost 20 minutes. I didn't order seafood or a burger or anything. They could have handed me my food in a few minutes. Instead, I waited a long time at a table waiting. The empty tables were filthy, huge flies all over the windows and tables. Once receiving my chicken, they gave dark meat instead of the white meat I ordered. They corrected that. 1 breast was juicy and hot, the wing and other breast were dry, and the chicken wasn't seasoned enough for me. Maybe I went at the wrong time, but I don't think...
