Absolutely gorgeous place. I hate to even post here, because I would like to keep it to myself I enjoyed it that much!!! The 1 negative I would have, while fishing with my son a woman came up in her kayak and needed help from the lady working the rentals and told her that her friends flipped their kayak and needed help. She said they were hanging in to it while floating and that they could not swim. The girl working told tje lady to kayak back out to her friends and help them. I feel like the workers should have immediately jumped into a motorized boat and rushed out to help them. Instead she called her manager to see what he thinks should be done. Thankfully a bystander in a boat was close and helped them. The help needs a bit of life saving lesson I feel. But again Absolutely...

I make sure to visit Eureka Springs at least once a year (rarely is it only once a year) and a few years ago on our way into town from Beaver Lake I noticed the sign for Lake Leatherwood. Since we were on a road trip I decided to check it out. I instantly fell in love. This place is so calm and so beautiful. It's a no wake lake so it makes for a wonderful day out on a canoe or kayak. The camp sites are great, hiking trails go on for miles, and the Walton's have recently bought this place and are really giving it the love it deserves.

The lake blinked.
I sat down for five minutes. Thirty-seven minutes passed. I have no proof of this except the way my left shoe felt different walking out.
