Splatter Room Experience. Paint was fine. Everything else, not good!
At 4pm our family booked a time slot for Saturday night at 9pm. (under my wife's name) We arrived 10 minutes early with 4 children and 2 adults. Upon arrival we were told there was currently someone in the rage room and that the rage room and splatter rooms were shared for the same thing. We would be in as soon as they were done and the room was "cleaned." (They booked the 8:30 slot.) There were two young people working. Around 9:10pm the girl (who was very nice) went into the room and asked the group if they were almost done. The group told her they still had some more stuff to break. The worker told them she's not rushing them and to take their time. That would be great if they weren't already behind schedule. So she comes back out and noticed that we have four kids that are getting very impatient. She was very nice to them and played with them while also answering their questions. Let me be clear that the young woman was never the issue. Skip ahead to 9:45pm and we are told the room is now ready. 45minutes AFTER our booked time. When we go into the room she explained there is still GLASS AND DEBRIS that couldn't be completely cleaned and that kids should not touch the floor. (Excuse me, what?) OK. When suiting up for the room we were not given any aprons or hair nets, no kind of body suit, no sponges, and the latex gloves ran out. We were told the kids must wear goggles. The goggles had so much paint on them vision was impaired. Remember there is glass and debris still present. She offered and went to the back and found two pairs of clean goggles. There were maintenance style gloves on a table but I'm not letting my kids put their hands in, clearly, used gloves. As far as the painting went. The kids loved that part. What kid doesn't like to sling paint with no regard. The site said oil paints; we were told that they were acrylic.. Not a huge deal. I personally think the canvases were too small for what is being paid. Also, the young woman, who clearly knew things were not right (we never complained once btw) did not charge us for 2 kids in an attempt to make it right. All that said, again, the kids loved the painting part. I emailed the owner three days before posting this review....
Read moreEdited on 10-9-2025. Changed from 2 stars to 1. Customer service is HORRIFIC. Idc how you run your business, but telling a customer "We definitely don't want you coming back" is a HORRIBLE WAY to run a business and talk to customers...
This is the worst escape room I've ever been to. My wife booked this for us for my 30th birthday. We have done several escape rooms together and typically work very well and get at minimum 75% through before we potentially fail. This time we didn't even get past the first room.
There were about 10 different locks in the first room in the night of the museum room that we were playing.
There was a complete lack of riddles for any of the locks. You were supposed to figure out on your own which lock you were supposed to go to and hope that you were right. We even had to reset a lock (without knowing we had to do it).
When given objects as clues to the next lock, we were not given any riddles as to what to do with said object, we had to figure it out all our own. Or, the riddle that was given had nothing to do with the actual answer. I even had to pull out my phone and scan a QR code for a YouTube video once (no instruction told me to)....typically escape rooms don't want you using your phones at all, had I not randomly pulled my phone out and scanned the QR code, I would have never known what to do.
For the amount of time someone had, they need to cut the locks almost completely in half. Not to mention, there's not really any direction on which way to go throughout the game. You're literally just supposed to start looking around with no clues/riddles to even get a start. We had to get on the intercom for a clue to find out where we needed to start. We knew the end game, but not the beginning.
Our game Master, was quite helpful and every time we asked for a clue, He gave one promptly.
We definitely won't be back. We will go somewhere else that gives riddles clearly, as a clear direction on what to do next and actually doesn't give you 20...
Read more(Review from my husband) My son and I went to the rage room. We were both super stoked based off the videos we had seen, unfortunately we were left disappointed. You are promised 7 “normal” items which were small glasses. And 1 medium sized item which, in our case, was a slightly larger glass. We were completely done in 5 minutes so I purchased another item to smash which was a broken TV for $20. The entire 15 minutes for my 14 year old son and I ended up costing $70. I would pay MAYBE $15 for this experience again to cover the cost of the glasses (I found the “medium” sized glass at the dollar tree for a $1 so $8 total) and the other $7 to pay the person the 30 minutes (maximum) it would take to clean up the mess. Other wise I feel like I could have had this exact experience with my son in the backyard for a small fraction of the price. And the other difference is I would have been the one to clean it up. I won’t be returning for this experience. However, we do look forward to returning to try one of the escape rooms. Edit to reply to owner: thank you for your response! It does help to have clarification of the cost. And to be reminded of things forgotten. And I want to clarify that when it was said that he (my husband because the review was his not actually mine) would pay $15 to come again that was per person so $30 for the two of them. I understand and understood why only 15 minutes. However, for us we will not be returning for this experience because for $70 WE did not feel it was worth the money. I am raising the stars to 4 because of your response and my only real complaint is the price. The staff was extremely friendly. Booking a reservation was super convenient and easy. Again, for our family the price just wasn’t worth THIS experience however we are planning our escape trip soon! Will write another review after...
