I will never be back. If you do go, make sure that you sit in the bar so that you can avoid the server for the family room. Our service was awful. First off, it after she took our orders and got our drinks. She never came back! She paid close attention to all of the other tables but our own. She came back to deliver our food and still did not ask us if we wanted re-fills. We tried to get her attention multiple times, and she still ignored us. She finally came back to see what was wrong after we asked for her a third time. Then, she said she could bring us a pitcher of water. The pitcher never came. She did re-fill our glasses after waiting another 10 minutes. We ended up waiting a total of 35 minutes for one re-fill of water. Additionally, I ordered a 14 inch pizza and she charged me for a 16in and told me that I was wrong! She also yanked ketchup out of my girlfriends hands and gave it to someone else right as she was going to put more on her plate. When I spoke to the server and the owner about it, she told me that I wasn't telling the truth and that there was no food left on my girlfriends plate. Additionally, the owner only compensated me by taking 5 dollars off of my order. Our friend's orders were not compensated at all. He also told me that he thought I miscommunicated. Actually, it was horrible service. There was no miscommunication on my part. I informed him that we would not be back and he just said he was sorry that is how I felt. I am disgusted with their customer service. Even if I was wrong, the customer is always right. I do not appreciate being told that I was wrong and that I miscommunicated when in all truth it was the servers fault. Do not even consider going to this place unless you are just...

When we first came back to The Den, after hearing of new owners, my spouse and I had our usual. Everything tasted as if we were back in time. Now, my wife's order has been messed up a lot. Mine was ok. When we took home a pizza, there was marinara sauce on it. It was horrible. Now we learned people there are making the sauce. We recommend going back to the regular sauce, which is simply called RED SAUCE, purchased at Farm Boy. The pizza was too spicy for the kids! Cheese balls are ridiculously high at $7.90 for a whole order. Make them in house and it would be worth it. Beer battered items would be great. You can purchase a small counter top oven (commercial) that will allow for fresh food to be made daily. We feel this should have been the first major purchase. Then, concentrate on bar food, what sells the best, what fresh sandwiches would people like to have. Simplicity but quality unfrozen food, prepared daily. We will always be customers, but we sure would like to see a complete overhaul of the menu. When that takes off, then renovate the place, and in your case, get Spurling to rip out the nasty carpet, clean the entire place and paint and get proper lighting. This has always been a diamond in the "ruff" and we feel that by revamping the menu and buying the commercial oven we speak of, the money you can bring in will offset the costs to...

Absolutely terrible! Came in at 5:30 with a party of 9, only had the owner cooking, Carla and 1 bartender on New Years Eve! Ordered food, chef salad arrived an hour later , no other food arrived by the time we got angry and left at 7:20. Carla tried her best to provide service with the entire bar area and family room full. , we watched 4 tables leave because they could not get service, watched tables that arrived after us get their food. After many years of meeting family and friends there for drinks , food, and playing pool, we will never return and will certainly spread the word about our experience. Carla said the other employees either were given the night off or refused to work! It would have been a smarter business decision to close the restaurant at 4pm rather than provide horrible service. If the employees refused to work , they would not be working for me going forward.
