Awesome place to have a picnic, rest, and explore in Sequoia National Park. The river was flowing and created a tranquil setting for an after lunch nap on the granite boulders. I could have stayed there all day. This picnic area is a must when in the park. Definitely recommend!

We stopped here to stretch our legs before we went over to the main area for a bite. It was clean and nice and it was possible to explore a bit without going too far off the trail or away...

Great view of the river, fresh smell of pine and white water roar make this a wonderful picnic stop. Still snow on the ground in early June. Several tables....
