We highly recommend Alaskan Outdoor Gear Rental. Coming from Hawaii we didn’t want to invest in all these outdoor pieces so renting them was a great option for us. It was a seamless transaction with a drop off at our hotel and pick up as well for four people, making it so easy. All the equipment was super nice quality, everything fit well, and was super warm. Rented clothing to snowshoe to Tolovana hot spring in December (temperature was around ‐10F). Ended up doing much of the hike in the dark with strong winds but the stuff we rented was high quality and kept us warm! We managed to completely mess up our reservation beforehand, accidentally making the booking in Anchorage instead of Fairbanks, and forgetting to reserve gear for one of our party, but Michelle still got the job done and prepared brand new gear on the day of completely last minute and we hardly lost any time.
