There was like 11of us and we thought it was event going on so when the person took are money we went out to the swimming area first thing I ask where is the T.V and snack bar they say this is just a really day but the invitation that was send to me haven't me thinking something was going on that day when I had ask for my money back they refuse to give it back to me and my other friend that came from Florida with her grandkids I was telling them that I could have did this at my subdivision cause where I lived it was free they wouldn't I didn't do anything set for a minute and ask my girl friend go talk to them and they told her the same thing but also said if we we wouldn't said something when we got there they would had and she let them know I said something when I got there and I told them don't worry I we I'll not be back they was not...
Read moreI always have a good time when I go to Duncan park. But today I had to go off on one of the life guards. This particular guard tried to make my nephew sit out of the pool for 10 minutes after he did a cannonball 1 time after he asked me. Another kid did a cannonball just seconds before and no one said a thing to him. Not to mention all the other kids who were doing jumps, backflips, and one kid did at least 8 power ranger spin jumps in the pool and no one said anything to him either. I had to be one of the few adults there who kept my niece and nephew within arms reach of me except for when they got on the water slide. Someone obviously takes their job a little too seriously. Maybe that's the only time he gets to have some authority. Besides that I'll still give Duncan park 5stars based on fun...

That said, the park could really benefit from some updates. Several areas—like the old wooden piers—need maintenance, and some of the smaller roadways pose safety concerns for both drivers and pedestrians. There are also a few abandoned parking lots tucked away that feel a bit sketchy and could use better upkeep or repurposing.
With a remodel and a focus on safety improvements, Duncan Park could easily be a five-star...
