What a hoot! More than just a regional history museum, there's art and natural history too. The biggest draw is the replica wooly mammoth skeleton but I liked the old school building with all the different random rooms. I also appreciate the collection of large-scale sculptures by Avard Tennyson Fairbanks, which are really cool. Best of all, it's basically free, though there is a donation box.

Fairview is a charming little town rife with historical goodies: a mammoth for one. Fossilized dino tracks and other creature festures are also on display. The museum is also a treasure trove on indegious artifacts & other historical markers humans leave behind with the passage of time. Visit this little gem of preservation if you find yourself in Sanpete County.

Great museum. The displays were in very good condition from the mammoth to the spurs to the very old pictures. It gave so much great history the war uniforms the clocks it was endless I was very impressed with this museum in a small town. It's definitely not just a side attraction but a main destination! Donations are accepted and welcomed.(that's coming from me)

Paleontology, geology, archaeology, and art in the first building. Make sure to ask to see the second building too, which isn't always open but often someone can take you over there - with many historical things from Fairview's early days. Also the stuff outside is interesting (assuming weather allows checking those things out). Best thing is the big mammoth skeleton in the first building from bones dug up high in the mountains above Fairview when the dam for Huntington Reservoir was being contructed. Make sure to go up to the second level to look down on it, really cool. There's another identical skeleton from this same mammoth at the Prehistoric Museum in Price. All of the stuff at this museum in Fairview is free, but they do accept donations and have a nice little gift shop to help them out. I think you'll find the museum...

Nice blend of classic exhibits and current items. The two museums side-by-side are a must see if you are passing by in the summer months and the staff are super nice. The old school house holds many of the older traditional exhibits that were around since I was a kid and, if you ask, the docents often know cool stories behind seemingly uninteresting and unmarked exhibits. Ask them what is interesting and, if you bring kids, ask them which exhibits are hands-on,...

You need to these two amazing museums there's a lot of artifacts, a prehistoric mammoth, master pieces of former USA Presidents, old photos, military artifacts, early 1830's phoneograhs, telephonic equipment, old doctors and dental offices equipment interesting relics, etc. Wow you've just got to see it!
