My first experience was not so much with the park itself but it’s patroons. One in particular. I just moved back to the area and I have a 2 1/2 yr old black lab mix male. Upon coming into the park I was greeted by a couple friendly people, but when exploring the grounds to see what they have to offer, there was a bulldog that came up to my dog and caught him off guard. For some reason they didn’t seem like they were gonna get along, after watching my dogs posture and body language, I could tell he didn’t want to be around the dog. Note, I have took my dog to all kinds of different dog parks, since he was a pup Anyways, so there is a separate section that has a pond in it, which is honestly quite gross and needs shut down to be drained and refilled. I took him over there and tried to holler at the owner as he finally walked down, that they didn’t get along so I was taking him in there. He had to of heard me. Next thing I know the owner decided to bring him in the pond section, where I had just taken mine to get him away from that dog. When he entered, I hollered across the pond, that they were not getting along and that was why I brought him on this side. Once again, He had to of heard me, but acted as if he didn’t. Therefore, once again I had to hurry and take my dog back on the original side, just in case. I kid you not, It wasn’t but 2 mins later, if that, that the owner was wanting to bring him back over to the section I just went into!! At that point my dog and his were running back and forth at the fence. Because my dog was doing that normal growl thing he does, when trying to make it known that he needed to back off this time around. While we tried to talk, they also seemed to start to get along, tails were wagging. That was until my dog must of picked up on the tone and mannerism that the owner was speaking to be in. What this ugly man implied next, had me outraged! I had told him, I tried telling him several times, that for whatever reasons they were not getting along. He stated, his dog gets along with every dog and asked me who started it!!! What!! Are we in high school !! Just like people, dogs sometimes don’t get along and sometimes they have a bad day!! To avoid coming across wrong, despite his blanteng disrespect toward. Well as any dog owner should know, dogs pick up on peoples energy, and let’s put it bluntly, this guy is we a real a**hole. So of course with me standing there and him at the gate with his threatening demeanor, my dog is gonna think they are a threat to me, and start barking at them. I then told him, I was unsure why they were not getting along, that maybe they at both alphas. He said “No my dogs not w alpha and he gets along just fine with all dogs, and clearly your dog is just aggressive!!! Look at how he’s barking and acting!”. I then said “No he isn’t, he gets along with all dogs, but maybe it’s cuz it’s our first time here” He then said “Well you better hope he ain’t because I’m coming back in there.” Then he had the audacity to say, “So what are you going to do , cuz you should be more responsible and not bring a aggressive dog to a dog park, that’s just irresponsible!!! Are you freaking kidding me dude, after I told you twice, they were not getting along!! Then you still followed me again !! He then asked me what I was going to do, and I said “I am going to do the responsible thing and take him out of here, and away from you and leave.” He said “Good, that is the responsible thing to do” I then left because i wasn’t going fo let that man goat me into more of a fight, which is as clearly what he was looking for!! Now I understand why my dog didn’t like his dog, cuz they say dogs act like their owners!! Because of this jerk I will NEVER bring my dog back and I will tell anyone I meet the same! He clearly things it’s his own personal dog park to run how he sees fit and talk to people with such little regard!! Educate yourself on dogs...

Very nice dog park. The low ratings I have seen here have to do with visitors, and not the park itself. There are waste stations, and a few agility training apparatuses on site. Also, an area for small dogs. For humans, there is plenty of covered bench space. I especially like the fact that the pond is easily accessible, but segregated from the rest of the park, so if you want to keep your dog out of the water, it is easily accomplished. My dog loved his time there, and we...

This was a lovely dog park, with separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. There is also another separate area with a pond and fountain so the pups can swim - but it’s separate so if you want to keep them dry, you can. A few bits of agility equipment which was fun. It also had some benches under shade. A couple of water outlets for the dogs to drink, one was broken on our visit though. You can do a few circuits of the park to get steps in, we spent about 30...

Another day, another dog park! 🐾✨ This one had a LAKE, so naturally, I ran around it like I was training for the Pawlympics. 🏃‍♀️💨 Met some new friends, sniffed all the good spots, and made Dad proud! 🖤 Who’s ready for round two?! 😆🐕 #DogParkDiaries #LunaTheVanPup #VanLifeDog #AdventurePup #ZoomiesForDays #FluffyAndFree #DogsOfTikTok #GermanShepherdEnergy #PawsomeAdventures #LakeDayFun

Visiting Knoxville on a work trip and wanted to take my dog to a park. Proximity to hotel, as well as the photos, made me choose this one. There were no dogs when we arrived around 6:30pm. Luckily two showed up after. Nice size park but you could tell it hadn't been serviced in a while. Lawn was high and full of weeds. The "pond" is nothing more than a contaminant filled reservoir, and there was no way I was allowing my dog anywhere near it.
